For swimmers who wish to join the Lane Leader Swimming Club, please complete the steps below:

Step 1:

Contact info@laneleader.co.za 

for an assessment if you unsure of program or group
allocation (step 2 or 3).  After the assessment / screening the coaching team will make a recommendation to join a program or competitive squad.

Step 2:

Complete the PROGRAM enrolment via the link that is provided by scrolling down

Step 3:

Complete and submit a Lane Leader Swimming Club Google MEMBERSHIP form for those in competitive Junior, Youth and Senior squads.

SWIMMING PROGRAMS

Individual Instruction will be available by appointment via a separate booking and payment system.

YOUTH (YTH)

Focused on a year-round (42-44 weeks a year) competition program for swimmers practicing up to 6 x per week.  Emphasis is placed on both stroke technique and training. This program allows swimmers to participate in other sports besides their summer focus sport of swimming (ability level 8 x 100 free @ 1min 45).

SENIOR (SNR)

Focused on year-round senior program (44-50 weeks a year) Athletes in this group have chosen swimming as their primary extra-curricular activity while training between 6 -10 times per week.  These Swimmers have the necessary talent and desire while being provided with a training program designed for success in national and international level competition. This group has standards in attendance, practice performance, and meet performance. Athletes must maintain at least 90% attendance. (ability level 10 x 100 free @ 1min 30).

SENIOR LONG DIST (SLD)

Focused on year-round senior program (44-50 weeks a year) for high level triathletes, open water swimmers and multisport athletes that only train in the mornings 4 x per week (ability level 10 x 100 free @ 1min 30).
